Hey everyone, I be the first to say that I'm a 'newbie' to the forum, but I thought that everyone here might be able to answer my question.

I've been with D* since August 2005 and overall, I'm a happy customer. What I'm looking to do now is figure out how to cut some costs on my bill. But unsure what I loose if I change service levels, etc. I subscribe to the Sunday ticket, but I really don't watch all of the other 'sports pack' stuff they offer.

Here's my current setup:
An older 'premier' package at $99.00 a month
HD Access $9.99 a month
Three Receivers Lease Fees at $4.99 a month.

So, as far as I can see, it looks like I get all of the channels and HD channels except for a few of the newer onces that they want you to pay extra for (NatGeo, MGM, etc.).

What I would like to do is switch to the Choice Plus HD DVR or something so I can dump the HBO, Show, Stars, etc. and the Sports Pack.

Yet, if I drop the sports pack, do I loose access to my regional sports channels? For example, come baseball time if I don't have the Sports Pack, will I not be able to see Sports Time Ohio and FSN Ohio?

Lastly, if I go to the Choice Plus HD (whatever they call it), does it basically include all the channels minus HBO, Showtime, etc?

Just currious since the info on the website seems a little confusing and I don't want to call them just yet.

Thanks a lot in advance for all of your help!

My System Setup
R15
H20
2 x D10's
6x8 Multiswitch and a 5LNB Dish (older style not slim line)

If you drop down to Choice Plus HD you will still get STO and FSN Ohio. As long as those channels are in your DMA. For instance, I live in Mansfield, Ohio and would get those channels regardless if I dropped Sports Pack.

Note: The website says that STO is only available with Choice Extra and above.
