Directv recently called me for a free upgrade of my old bedroom HD tivo box to the HR20 for being a MLB EI subscriber. I had spent the 199 for the living room, and was holding out to get the same deal for the other room when they called! Not sure if others are getting the same deal, the installers were shocked. I suggest calling if this situation applies.

I am surprised at how hard Directv works to improve there service. DoD, HD channels, remote scheduling. I am hooked....

Yea, Nascar Hotpass 2007 same deal.

But You had to actually subscribe, and had have older equipment last year in order to get such a deal.

I was able to snatch one up from their $99.95 deal. But was that a headache. I had to call 3 times to finally get it. The first 2 CSR's, I was like, look at your own website, it say $99.95. They still didn't believe me.

Maybe Fairy, but I don't think it says that on the website either (and he's not a new customer).

~ponders if she should just change her username~

I know he isn't - but there are several times where if they are not logged in, they see the new customer offers listed on the screen - which is confusing I suppose.

From what I've seen and heard they are offering free upgrades from HD receivers to H2X, or HR10 to HR2X for the following...
If you get LA DNS
If you are a hot pass or MLBIE sub.

And rumor is that this will continue with NFLST,

And I expcet it to continue with
NHLCI (2008-2009), NBALP (2008-2009) and all other sports packs that start up this year.
Also, NY DNS

This will allow Directv to get everyone off of legacy HD equipment before the end of the year, and stop all MPEG-2 broadcasts of sport packages (and RSNs) before the end of April, freeing up lots of bandwidth. And once D11 is operational, the following will probably show up in MPEG-4 NYDNS, TNT, Universal, HDTH, HDNET, HDNET Movies, Espn, ESPN2, HBO, SHO. So I wouldn't be surprised if they don't start a blanket offer 2 or 3 weeks after NFLST starts the regular season...

I have to agree with you. That's why we're waiting to replace the remaining HR10- because we expect to see the NY DNS offer before too long.
