Nice, at least I won't have to wait for the entire season to pass to watch it in HD.

Life being what it is, I'm going to record the SD but not watch it until I've watched the HD episode. Am I a pessimist or just a disillusioned grumpy old man?:D

Now if you find a way to morph the 5.1 DD from BBC with the HD video from Universal let me know.
Now if you find a way to morph the 5.1 DD from BBC with the HD video from Universal let me know. Are you saying BBCA (I presume) has better audio than HD-NET and that Universal has better HD video than HD-NET? I've never noticed audio issues on HD-NET ... what's supposed to be in DD 5.1 is, and I've always thought the video quality on HD-NET was outstanding.

Nope, just me not paying attention again. I had it in my head it was coming up on Universal even though it is clearly stated HD-Net.

My old HDNet Torchwood SL is not grabbing this on the 11th. I had to delete the old one and start a new one.

My timer did not show as new episode, so had to manualy add it.

Same here, my old series link didn't pick it up so I set a new one to record both first run and repeats.
Possible cause:
1) Original air date being used by HDNet is the BBCA date which was 2 weeks ago, thus it thinks it's a repeat (think of the many seasons of SG-1 where this happened, even on Tivo's)
2) For some reason the "series ID" changed and so it's not picking it up as the same series.
Either way, check your ToDo lists and delete old series link and create a new one as needed.
On my DIRECTV HR20-700, I have an autorecord series link for TORCHWOOD with Category "High-Def" set to record "Both" first run and repeat, and the 2/11 season 2 premiere is showing in my To Do List. I'm guessing it's because I wasn't limiting this to "First Run" only ...
Instead of deleting the series links or creating new ones, did anyone try just changing to "BOTH" from "First Run"? You'd have to give some time for the scheduler to update, but that may work ...

That's what I did when I noticed it wasn't set to record, I changed it to record both and it showed up as hoped.

That confirms then, bad guide data. And surprising for HDNet as they are usually on top of those things.

My SL wasn't picking it up either.
I think it might be because I also have a SL for the BBC-A airings just in case,
so it's treating them as duplicate episodes.
I went ahead and told it to record the Monday airing, sometime last week.
I looked last night and it wasn't set to record.
Told it again to record that airing.
If this keeps happening, I'll have to move my backup BBC-A recordings to my HR10.

I was set at "both". That is why I just remade it. I could have tried to set it to First run only but I did not want to forget it and miss it. Funny thing is that is was not like the old Planet Earth guide data issues. Everytime I attempted to set a SL from the 11th showing it edited the existing SL. It did not create a distinct different one.

Well, it didn't record. Anyone else lose it? Nothing in the history about the cancellation. Gonna have to set these manually I guess.
