...is this TIVO salvagible? I have the PP, will they just send a new unit?

Maybe. The "green screen" is Tivo's hard drive repair utility. Let it run for several hours and see if it completes successfully. If so, you're probably OK. If not, then you can replace the hard drive. Check out these resources for more information ....

If you choose to take advantage of your Protection Plan, you'll most likely get an HR20 or HR21 HD DVR, not an HR10-250 since they've been long discontinued.

My old D*TiVo got this, and I left it for a number of hours with the phone line plugged in, and it did eventually recover, so all is not lost yet ;)
...is this TIVO salvagible? I have the PP, will they just send a new unit?
