Just a couple of questions. I haven't pulled the trigger on the HDTV for the bedroom but thinking about a HR2x there for MRV.
I currently have only one coax to the receiver(being replaced) in the bedroom. I have a Zinwell WB68 in the basement feeding a HR20 and Tivo T-60 in the livingroom along with the single to the receiver in the bedroom.
Is there a SWM to accomodate the HR2x in the bedroom with one coax for both tuners?
Both locations are network ready. And I guess that was only one question.

When it's available, the SWM8 will support a dual tuner HR2x with a single coax feed. Also, sometime int the not to distant future, there will be a new LNB for the AU9 Slimline dish that will have a SWM built-in.
You could run the HR2x in the bedroom on one line (one tuner) until the SWM is available, though. It will make a great SD-DVR until such time as you get your new HDTV for that room.

Actually, second question was if I set the HR2x output to 480, will HD programs show up in letterbox on a SD TV - until the HDTV arrives?

You wouldn't "need" to have both tuners live on the additional DVR.
Though if you do want to, AFAIK, SWMs aren't publically available. It was stated recently that the SWM5 will not be commercially produced. SWM8s will be, but are still not being widely distributed. Though there was someone here posting in the last couple of weeks that said they had access to them.

When the HR2x TV Ratio setting is in 4:3 mode (setting the resolution to 480i is also something that you would need to do, but it doesn't affect the AR), the format button cycles through letterbox, crop, and stretch. The letterbox format will show the HD channels in the 16:9 AR on your 4:3 TV. Crop will lop the sides off, and stretch would make everyone tall and skinny.
