Was Wresling Smackdown on THE CW in HD last night. My picture didn't look like it was.

If you are talking about WSWB in Scranton, no it wasn't. There has been an ongoing problem getting the HD signal on that channel for the last couple of months. Haven't heard any update as to when it will be back on.

Actually yes it was BUT not through Dish network unless of course you had a local CW in HD you are subbed for but not for me. Oddly my 722 pulls in OTA digital signals in better then my 55" sony. What REALLY surprised me was the CW OTA I have NEVER shows anything in HD..And usually looks like crap.....BUT this once sure enough it was. My brother asked me something about it and I told him no it was just a plain ole DTV channel but apparently any DTV station can broadcast in HD when and if they choose...

OP was talking about OTA in NE PA, the Scranton WB has shown HD in the past but has had problems the last couple of months. Each market is different as some chose to show HD while other are doing the minimum they have to by showing just a digital sd feed.

yes it was HD on CW33 out of Dallas and it looked great

WCWW's feed out of South Bend, IN was in HD.

As garys posted twice, and I can confirm because I live in Wilkes-Barre, it's WSWB and their ongoing problems with getting HD programming on the air. I called them (570-970-5600 or 570-970-3800) and left a message on their viewer feedback voicemail letting them know that there ARE those of us trying to watch their station in HD (even though the station's HD feed isn't carried by any(?) of the local cable companies).

My theory is - if nobody calls, the TV station will just assume nobody cares, and they won't bother to spend the money to fix it. I know I called once before about a show that was supposed to be in HD that the station wasn't broadcasting in HD, and 5 minutes later, somebody had "flipped the switch", and all was right with the world :-)

If you were watching WSWB tonight, it started out in sd, flipped to HD (looked great), then disappeared completely for a bit but is back on in sd now. Don't think the station got their problems fix yet.
