I am considering getting this system for my bedroom but I'll need it to work with the remote on the VIP722. Anyone know if there is a code for it? I'll just need the volume control to work. I won't be using the speakers from this setup - I am installing in-walls.
Getting things approved by my aesthetics committee is tough!

I don't see a code for Insignia in the amp section or in the combo section. Maybe I should take my remote with me to Best Buy and try it.

Insignia is a Best Buy store brand. You might be able to determine the original manufacturer and see if there is a code for that.
Good luck.

Correct. And as is typically done with store brands, the actual manufacture of the items is contracted out to several different electronics manufacturers. Sometimes one model will be made by a larger, "brand name" company, and the model next to it will be made by a no-name company with 50 employees. There's no real way to know. But it almost always means that remote codes are all over the place with store brands, and are rarely supported by universal remote controls.
I know several people who bought store brand TVs and lost/broke the remote control and can't get a replacement anywhere, because the actual manufacturer no longer exists and the store in question has no more replacement-part stock. Needless to say, no universal remote support either.
This is one of a couple of reasons I strongly recommend against buying store brands, and recommend only brand names from companies that have a history of making consumer electronics (i.e., Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Samsung, JVC, Mitsubishi, etc.). Those companies will be around to support your purchase for a long time down the road, and support for things like universal remotes is already built-in.

I remember reading somewhere that LG makes Insignia TV's so see if a code for LG works. Also try Emerson.
try 702 or 720 forget which ... got the code from tech support on the 800 number

I have a 42" insignia LCD TV.
I called Insinia tech support 1-877-467-4289.
They gave me a few different codes
10463 worked for my TV.Other codes they gave me are 115, 135, 0464,and 8043.
They said to try codes on Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Zenith, and Sylvania.
