I've read about this but since it is not
available till "Summer 2003" (as stated

This looks suspiciously like a car-borne adaptation of a system already in use in executive jets and on yachts and should work fine.

BIG PROBLEM: No Line of Sight cannot be changed by this and driving through cities and valleys without clear LoS to the birds will be a problem throughout the northeast US, but for those people out it flatland in the west, happy travels with MTV!
