View Full Version : Subs in Mexico
I may be living in Guadalajara for a while. I am currently an E* (721 PVR) subscriber. Will I be able to transfer my sub and receive the US services that I now receive (except my locals of course)? How about a DirecTV sub?

How long is a while Doug?? You could probably just take your equipment with you. Don't plug the phone line in. Let the bill continue to go to Healdsburg...
Yeh, why not. Great idea. I wonder what signal strenth I could expect? Not sure of the time frame....friends want me to house sit for a few months.

This sounds like a Rafael -type question -
You may need a larger dish in order to receive an adequate signal.
That is what I was thinking. I hope Rafael sees this and has some answers for me.

An 18" dish works fine in Guadalajara. My business partner was there for 4 months on a contract last year. He took his Dish 300 and a dishplayer. No issues with 119 satellite. I don't believe he tried 110 so I don't know if a Dish 500 or a 300 pointed at 110 works.

I have some friends in Cozumel that have Dish (and get the Denver local channels as well, as that's where they're from originally). Down there, they have to have 2 36 inch dishes minimum to see 119 and 110.
I moved from Atlanta 3 1/2 months ago without notifying E* and I'm still getting ATL locals. I entered a COA at the post office and have received mail from Dish with my new address. Of course, I'm still paying my $5.99. So far, so good. ;)
