I was up in the air between the "Reebok office tackle" and the "Zebra Instant Replay".

Bud takes the cake again.

Castaway was cute.

My vote would be for the Dreadlocks Dog.

I liked the FedEX commercial, I knew what was in the box already so I was laughing my ass off. :D

The zebra was the only commercial I really liked.

The Bud Light "pain is funny" ads did nothing for me.

I guess this is the Super Bowl where I realized the advertisers aren't shooting for my demographic anymore. And I'll freely admit to not knowing who half the celebrities were.

The Dale Earnhardt Jr designated drive commercial and the Corres twins commercial :)

No "Joe the Cook" ESPN takers?

The Honda "new truck" commercials were annoying.

The Fedex commercial with the castaway dude was the best.

The Reebok commercial with Terry was awesome.

"BREAK WAS OVER 15 MINUTES AGO!"

Chris, hope you don't mind, I reopened this and merged the two thread together. :)

My favorites: The ESPN-HD commercials (only seen on the HD feed), followed by the movie trailers in HD (all except for Bruce Almighty), followed closely by the Fedex Castaway commercial and the Budweiser Zebra referee commercial.

As a comic and movie loving fan speaking, DareDevil, The Hulk, T3, Bruce Almighty, and the Charlies Angels 2 Full Throttle movie trailers looked good to go. Tears of the Sun will undoubtedly be a good one also. Not sure about Bad Boys II. The Matrix sequels don't do much for me despite all the hoo-ha over the special effects. Overall, I enjoyed the Sierra Mist spots, the Reebok spot, and the one with the football twins and the blondie who should seriously be in the next Legally Blonde sequel for talking the way she does. :D

I loved to "Osborne" one for Pepsi Twist. You know, where the Osborne kids unzipped themselves to reveal they were really the OSMONDS. Ozzie wakes up from the nightmare in bed and explais it to his wife...his wife turns around and it's Florence Henderson! (Mrs. Brady).

Loved it! And even better for the advertiser...I remembered the product. :)

See ya

The fat-assed mom really scared me!:D
But the jackass was the best.:)

#1: Terry Tate for Reebok (especially loved the obscure reference about the TPS cover sheet -- this is a "homage" to the great Mike Judge movie "Office Space", a Dilbert-esque movie about corporate cubicle land (with Jennifer Aniston in a TGI Friday's candy striper outfit to boot) .

#2: The Matrix sequels - Oh MAN was that hot looking..... Is it May yet?

#3: The T3 teaser with Arnold coming to "warn" us about the four terminators, Sapp, Brooks, Rice, and Gannon. Yeah, I know Arnold is rapidly approaching irrelevance, but I am still Jonesing to see this (although I am tempering it with the fact that James Cameron is NOT attached to this one)

#4: The Cadillac comercial with the trail of leaves and a road sign after it whips through a tunnel. OK, not the deepest one out there, but still fun.

#5: The Hulk Trailer. I think it will be a love it/hate it split with moviegoers for the CGI Hulk (Lou Ferrigno was unavailable as he is tied up with The King of Queens evidently), but this has a potential to be huge. Not Spiderman huge, but maybe Batman huge.

and the worst.......

#1: Subway's Jared. Your fifteen minutes are up. Please turn in your ID card. Your subway train back to obscurity is waiting.

#2: Celine Dion in a Chrysler. Yawn.

#3: The Dodge truck commercial where a guy yaks on the windshield. Thank you, that was just what I needed to see after I dipped my chip in the onion dip.

#4: The Daredevil ad. There is a MUCH better ad (Trailer #2 at http://www.apple.com/Quicktime ). available online. Just a badly edited blipvert without any coherent message to convey.

#5: ANY ad already shown before the Super Bowl. If you're gonna drop $2.1 Million dollars and be featured in a program where a sizable chunk of the audience is tuning in JUST TO SEE THE ADS, then don't phone it in. You're just embarassing yourself. I make an exception for the VISA ad with Tike and Ronde Barber. They took an ad people had seen before and customized it with new audio ("you're IN the Super Bowl, and you're WATCHING it. Just an observation." Ouch. And I'm a Giant's fan).

And a big shout out to my PVR for letting me watch these ads again and again. I've seen the Reebok ad and my 9 year old and I STILL laugh our butts off watching it.

I was invited to appear in one of ESPN's Super Bowl ads--the one where they had short clips of fans of unsuccessful teams. Unfortunately, they didn't give me enough notice to be able to make arrangements to show up when they needed me.

USA Today's poll listed it as the 13th worst ad of the Super Bowl.

I vote for the office tackling ad, too. That was funny.
That one and the Fedex commercial are really the only two I remember even.
I thought the commercials had better years.

First, all the HD movie commercials.

My most favorite regular commercial: The Clown walking on his hands and ordering a beer, I thought I was going to split a gut when I saw that one. (Bartender, may I have a Hot Dog?).

Exactly how I watched. 30 second skip between plays, then let it go at the commercials and half-time. Saw the whole thing in under 2 hours.
