I keep hearing about them and if they are real I want them, i want them badly, I couldnt even think of a comparison
we have to run 2nd lines to all of our dvrs, of course we utilize all 5 sats in our systems and I just cant imagine a single line switch being possible

They are not vaporware... as they are out there... and can be obtained.
Overpriced... that is each person's comparison point.
My first multiswitch was almost $500....
So yes, while they are only available to MDU installs... they are going to cost a good penny until they are produced in quantity and made available to non-mdu customers.

Let it go man. Really, your blood pressure will drop and you'll sleep better at night. We ALL know your PO'ed that you don't have one yesterday. We don't need to hear it in every single thread that is remotely related to the SWM. Again, just let it go, for your piece of mind and ours. :icon_peac

Was it a Spaun?
My first multiswitch was $800 (Paid MSRP through a dealer). Had I known about websites like Solid Signal, I could have gotten it for much cheaper.
The good thing though is that I'm still putting that old multiswitch to good use by utilizing its OTA input for OTA distribution, then diplexing it out after the WB616 and BBC's.

My first DirecTV system was $900+ ...dual LNB with a single RCA receiver back in 1994.
And that was from an internet dealer. :)

My current switch cost me about $900 to not have to drills holes in my house. See my signature. I wonder what that that router could be used for once I get my hands on a SWM-8...a paperweight perhaps
