View Full Version : 721 Timer Conflict Screen
I finally noticed this...when I set a new timer to record and it conflicts with TWO existing timers, the conflict screen only shows the new offending timer and ONE of the existing!!
Is this normal or am I missing something??
Of course the timer that I would have liked to delete to accomodate the new timer is NOT one of the one's listed
Is there a way to see of access the "other" timer??
No, there is currently no way to view all 3 timers when you get a conflicting error.
This was one of the options that most people want to be added in the poll. Maybe Scott can confirm whether this is supposed to be fixed for L.110.

Looks like we need E* to create a 3 or 4 timer PVR for us power users!

It has always displayed the conflict that way. Would be nice to choose between to two existing timers.
Once I had a conflict and decided to delete one of the existing timers that was set up for Monday-Friday recording. When it deletes the existing timer it wasn't just for the day in question but all together from the events. It would be nice for the conflict screen to ask if it should use the new event for that one recording prior to completely erasing the existing time from the events.
Perhaps an example will help explain what I am getting at. I USED to record The Simpsons every day at 6pm. At some point I set up an event to start recording from 5pm to 7pm. Then many days later I found something I wanted to record from 6pm to 8pm. When the conflict was detected I decided to record it instead of The Simpsons. I thought it would be for just that one day and The Simpsons would record daily after that but that was not the case. If the software allowed one time replacement and then got back to the normal event schedule that would be cool.
This was one of the options in the poll of pick your new 721 feature. a 3 timer conflict screen, with options to kill once or forever..

I don't know if thats going to be in L1.10 or not, the 721 team has kind of been avoiding me lately.
But I do know that Triple Timer Conflict Screen IS coming soon :)

Scott, whats up with that??
That's been the best thing that Dish could have asked for, giving you some info to pass along not mention some early beta testing.
