Here is the first "Power Poll" of the season from the Sporting News. These this are worthless this time of year, but its still interesting to see where people feel teams will be at the start of the season. The top 10 are below.

1. Twins - Biggest upside among LCS entrants.
2. A's - Starting pitching makes them perennial threat.
3. Yankees - Treating new labor agreement like jokebook.
4. Giants - Impressive restructuring, but Alou a question.
5. Diamondbacks - Randy, Curt and Elmer will provide glue.
6. Red Sox - Taking gamble with closer-by-committee.
7. Phillies - Thome and Co. need to overcome dubious 'pen.
8. Angels - Offense won't recapture postseason magic.
9. Astros - Aging position players, but young starters help.
10. Mets - Maybe this year's mishmash will be better.

There rest are here: http://www.sportingnews.com/baseball/poll/

Not too sure about the Giants being #4, but I guess not that they just signed Jose Cruz Jr. (http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb_news.jsp?ymd=20030128&content_id=194295&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp) they aren't too far off from last year. I just can't wait for this season to begin.
