Installer just left after re-aligning my dish. (Heavy winds earlier this week messed things up). It appears I am getting all my locals in hd, but here are my satellite strength readings. How does it look, and am I getting everything I should?

101 - 95%
110 - 85%
119 98%
103s - not acquired
103c 69%
99s - not acquired

I live in the DFW market about 50 miles nw of Fort Worth.

Thanks

Specific transponder information would help.

However, with HD you should have at least one high reading transponder on either 99s or 103s, and you should have all active transponders on 103c reading in the 80's or 90's.

It doesn't look like your current alignment is good enough yet.

Reconfigure your set up. Select 5 LNB dish. I bet the "tech" counted three horns on you Slimline & selected 3 LNB dish. OR in the BBC converter installed on the "sat in" line on your receiver. It looks like a DSL filter but has to be there. Look in the box if it is not connected at the back of the receiver.

You have ok signal on the 101 & 119 so the dish must be "seeing" the 103 (a) or (b).

Or Carl could be correct as above.

If 5-LNB wasn't selected, he would get nothing on 103c where he is seeing readings. In fact, I don't think the satellite signal screen would even let him select 99 or 103 if he wasn't set up for 5-LNB (but I'm not certain of that).

Checking BBC is certainly a good suggestion.

Tim, as Carl6 requested, please post your details for satellite 103(c) on a transponder by transponder basis:

Setup > Satellite > View Signal Strength - use the left arrow and the Select button on the remote to get to 103(c).

Looks like your installer might have some more work to do.....
