my apologies for rant...
Today I had an appointment scheduled for an upgrade of a h20 receiver to a hr20 receiver. I set the appt between 8am-noon, because of obligations after noon The installer arrived around 10am asking me what I needed done because he stated that he had 8 different work orders for me along with 8 different addresses. So I showed and explained that I needed to have the H20 swapped out with a new HR20. I needed another line (under 125ft) ran to get the full effects of the DVR. After explaining this to the installer, he said that he could get it done but not until DTV fixed the work order, he recommended that I call DTV and reschedule..etc..etc.
The best part is that the installer told me that I could purchase an HR20 from him "off the truck" and in all cases I would have to purchase the RG6 cable from him by the foot since he was an subcontractor...blah blah. Moreover, about 10 feet of the cable run is in a basement crawlspace that I can almost stand up in... That also was an extra "fee" because they had to enter the crawlspace. I understand all of this and I know the cable run would be around 100ft and not easy to run so I prepared myself with tip money for the installer for a job well done.
I called DTV and explained my frustration for wasting a saturday morning.. the said they would have a different installer dispatched ASAP.. Around 1pm the same installer called and said that everything was fixed and he could do the job only if he could do it now... Keep in mind I had obligations at noon for the rest of the afternoon.
At this point I am frustrated and just attempted to call DTV but was on hold for around 20mins...so I hung up.
I am looking for feedback or insight on this issue, how to resolve it, and what direct should do to keep me happy.
I have been with DTV for over 4yrs and pay well over $100 on my bill every month...
