I was channel surfing and noticed that these two channels are now available a day before they are scheduled to be turned on, on channels 313 and 314.

Available to all Cinemax subscribers (who up to now only had a pitiful 3 channels to choose from. And one of those was a west coast feed.

hehe - but are they Watchable Right now as we speak (or only available in Red now in guide, until officially given to subs)?
There was a posting by a John Weathers on DBSForums.com that the new Cinemax channels will be launched on Jan. 29, 2003.

It's watchable right now for all Cinemax subs. I was watching Vertical Limit on Action Max earlier. I love action movies and I think it's a good channel addition. :)

I called OnSat and asked when these channels would be included in their Dish Edition. I was told that it would be three weeks after they were notified. I asked if my call could be considered notification, and they said yes! So if you're an OnSat subscriber, the Dish edition will reflect the Cinemax changes soon.

5-Max is a bit of a schitzo one. You have 4 star movies like Dr. Zhivago and then Paulie Shore in "In The Army Now" (a 1 star movie.)

That would be the year after the Brad Pitt and Val Kilmer tie, right?

Now that we know he has some potential, will he become a Bill Murray (or at least a periodic Dan Ackroyd) and continue to do more quality stuff or work his way into Chevyhood.
