HR21 issues: Pausing existing recordings/Finding SW version

I just got a new HR21. So far pretty happy. Looked at posts and Tips/tricks and found most of the info I wanted:
- No DOD yet, no Remote scheduling yet

But two problems I can't find answers to:
- Simple one: how do I find the software version installed? I checked the Setup->Info&Test and don't see it in the list. This is where most tips direct me to. How do I find this?

- Pause not working like it's suppose to? I'm trying to do the 'dual buffer' workaround, but when I pause live TV or the recording, and switch to the other, I don't lose the buffer, but it always starts the live TV buffer at the end, and the 'recording show' buffer at the beginning. I can not get either to start where I paused it. I'm following the instructions exactly stated in the HD DVR Plus tips and tricks.

I have the HD21-700.

The 2nd of course is very frustrating. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting I need to change or SW upgrade that needs to be done?

1) Press and hold the info button for 3 seconds and it will bring up the info screen.

2) The HR21 does not have the software yet to save a paused point when viewing a recorded program but it will soon. The HR20 already has it. So you need to record both shows right now and play both of them from your "My Playlist". Then use the previous button to jump back and forth.

How do I find this?Info and Test screen, System info tab. 5th line item from the top is Software. It lists original Version and past upgrade. What you have now is the past upgrade.

I have the HD21-700.As mentioned, the national release does not support this.

If you participate in the CE process you may be able to download a CE version to support this. Otherwise wait until the next national release.
