I was sitting here @ the computer when i seen the newest tv ad it goes Like this

Fake forcast
Monday its gonna snow
same for tuesday
And the same for the rest of the week

I thought it was a real forcast of course us geeks now that was a swipe @ the Dish :)


I love it when the cable company wants to con you into buying thier service im not buying it :)

what I've always wondered about these commercials is how many people are actually experiencing all of this snow? If the intention is to gain new DBS customers, I would think most DBS people would say "hey - I don't get snow like that". Now if its purpose was to keep existing clients then I understand the scare tactic but I don't think that is the actual intent.

At least we know their marketing folks don't have DBS!

Hmmm....I live in the U.P. of Michigan where we get feet of snow at a time and I've never experienced a loss of signal due to snow. I've even had my dish covered with several feet of snow to the point where you can't even tell there is a dish present, yet I've never had any problems. Ice - maybe. Rain - all the time in the summer. I guess I never knew people had problems with "snow fade."
