Greetings
I have Dish now and I am pretty happy, however Direct has baseball, I can't get cable, my internet is satellite, so limited in Gigs per month so even voice is out.

You guys being experienced in Direct, what would be the cheapest way to get to get minimum Direct service, just the minimum channels and order baseball as the only add on. I have heard I would need a dealer who handles Dish and Direct any other things they might require and is this feasible ? Looks like $29.00 for the basic package od Direct and whatever the charge for baseball.

Dish does not offer anything for me as far as baseball.
Ideas most gratefully appreciated
Geoff

might need the 9.95 HD fee too..

But only if I have HD right. OTW HD not required Correct.
I suppose that I will also be required to be in a 2 year agreement with
direc or do they offer less.

Will I be able to get my home team Padres at home games or are they blacked out at home and on the road,

cable offers an extra package that includes home games, but getting cable here that is beginning to be come a nightmare. Loong story...

If I was going to do this, just get minimum channels and do baseball, and I already have literally everything else possible on dis, anything else that I might want to throw on dirc that is not on dis that I might be missing.

There are a 100 deals running around, 92128, North County SD, anyone know a good installer or dealer.

Sorry if this runs a few threads together. You guys know the stuff. Getting close, Pitchers and catchers reporting in 2 weeks.
Thanks for the help.

Just for future reference the companies name is Directv. Good luck with Mark Prior.

Thanks for the heads up. DIRECTV, I thought may not be appropriate to use their full company name, on some sites, they prefer that you leave a letter out or change the spelling just a tad so to keep liabilities down. Not knowing for sure and not wanting to jeopardize this site. I chose to keep it on the safe side and go with not naming them out right in my post.

I realize that this also can be proper or improper use for the site as well. With those 2 choices, I felt better to have any flagrant violation pointed at me , rather then the people who run this site.

I highly appreciate knowing from a more knowledgeable member, that DIRECTV can be used if one wishes. Although I am sure there have been some other monikers used in certain circumstances.
Possibly, Maybe..

Enjoy !

DBSTalk.Com uses "DIRECTV" all over the place. I don't think you have to disguise the DIRECTV name.

This is now abundantly clear to me and good to know, that DIRECTV is allowed to be used in posts. However, I would rather have the point raised, if necessary, that I could use the name DIRECTV, and have it clarified to me so well, that I may in fact use it on the list, then merely assume that this protocol was proper. Which is not true on every chat forum out there.

I apologize if if I offended anyone by the leaving out of a letter on DIRECTV. However better to not offend a rule which may do harm to a whole list, then to do an action that merely identifies a company that is known to all and safely protects my interest, the list owners rights.

Please accept my deepest regrets, no pun was intended towards DIRECTV or any other company associated with DIRECTV.

Thanks for your suggestions and help !

Enjoy

Geoff
