The last few days I have been having freeze ups and pixalation issues with my HD locals. It is an intermitant problem. They had been working fine since install 4 months ago. I live in the Portland Oregon DMA, but weather does not seem to have any effect on this issue. All other channels including HD work fine.
My guess is that they are on 103S, the only TPs I receive on this sat are these:
TP
3 100
6 57
17 95

Thanks for any help.

I don' think there's a definite answer as to what TP your HD locals are on, but there is a way to see the signal strength for your locals:

Tune to a local HD channel
Key in the channel number for another HD local. Now both sat tuners should be on a HD local.
Press Info until the system info screen loads.
Up arrow and then right arrow to get to system test.
Run a system test. During the system test, it will report the signal strength of each sat tuner.

Those numbers should be fairly identical since both tuners should be looking at the same TP. This method still doesn't tell you which TP your locals are on, but it will give you a signal reading for them.

Thanks, it reads 100%

The Portland HD locals are on 103s tp 3; I've gotten great levels on that xponder as far south as Coos Bay (>80), and as far north as Bellingham, WA (>60+). As you can figure out, I have a AU9/Slimline dish with my RV (H20, will swap over to HR20 for the next summers outings).

You should be getting a fair amount of Seattle on 99s, tp 2/4, and maybe a bit of a 'hint' of Spokane on 99s, tp1/3/5. 103s tp 17 appears to be a national beam, as everyone seems to be getting it just about everywhere. The 103s tp 6 is a good question, as I get ~30 in Seattle, right at the same level as the Spokane beams on 99s. But they appear to be 'playing around' with the Spokanes on 99s (sometimes the tp3 winks out to zero, some days its right there at the same level of 30 or so, just like 103s tp6). It looks like that engineering 'may' be moving Spokane over to the 103s sat (Spaceway or DirecTV10). I have relatives in Spokane, but they're all on Echostar (they had sd locals LONG before DirecTV).

There were folks working on getting together a list of all the spot beams, but it appears to be a dead 'project'. When the Ku spots were first lit up some 8 years ago, there were loads of folks working on those, but it seems the Ka spots are left to linger about.
