i have a question..... is the missed appointment credit for install or for tech appointments too?
i got home and before my appointment time even... they had called and left a message for me to call and reschedule!?! :mad: i called the number they gave me for ironwood and she (in the phillipines) told me my appt had been cancelled and i had to call D*...
D* called the service provider (ironwood) but the supervisor is not answering his phone and so they rescheduled me for thurs.... do i rate the $100 credit for a missed appt or is that only installs?

The $100 missed appt credit is only applied if you reschedule through DirecTV, its your 2nd reschedule, and you specifically ask for it

i thought that only a $100 credit was given for a No show/No call, not because of cancellations?

Exactly..........the installation is FREE. IF an installer misses a time slot it is easy to take the money from the installer. They my not give it to you but it is easy. Taking money from themselves and giving it to you for something FREE is different because it just is.

And actually, as GWV pointed out, it is used for No Call/No Shows; if the tech called you prior and told you they wouldnt be able to make it out and needed to reschedule, technically they're off the hook

I've gotten this twice - once for the no call/no show for the original free install, and just last week for a no call / no show realignment.
I didn't ask for it either time FYI.

I have had to call Ironwood's national number on 3 different occasions. The number is on their web page and it isn't in the Philippines. You may have talked to a person with an accent. DirecTv has two call centers that are not in the U.S., one in the Philippines and one in Mexico.

however ironwood isn't D* (at least as far as i know... but what do i know?)
and according to the installer that was at my house monday evening.... ironwood's calls (even the ones the techs/installers have to make to close out their service tickets) go through the phillipines!
