I've got an HR20-700 and an HR10-250. I'm thinking of getting an HR21 to replace the HR10. Can I move the HR10 to another room and replace the standard SD receiver there. There's only one cable and an old 32" analog TV in that location I was thinking that we could use it for SD reception and recording SD when we're not watching TV. Would this work? If so which input should I use, 1 or 2? Or should I use a splitter to get the same signal to both tuners?

Yes, with a single cable it can record one sat channel at a time.

It will work just fine. Just hook up to Sat 1. Then re-run the guided setup. Somewhere along the line it will ask if you have 1 or 2 lines connected. If you don't change it to 1, you will have the nag screen on showing searching for signal on sat 2.
