Looking to supplement my 5 LNB setup.
I'm about 16 miles away from the Empire State Building *broadcasting transmitter*.
Will I be fine with the squareshooter or should I go with something more ~directional~ for optimal performance ?

The Winegard Squareshooter is rather directional. At 16-mi it would probably work well.
Check out the NYC thread in the "Local HDTV Reception Forum" at http://www.avsforum.com for antenna advice from local experts.

if all the braodcast you want to recieve is coming
from the Empire State Bldg....then the squareshooter
will work...i use the SS with the amp & i am 40 miles
from the dallas/ftworth cedar hill transmitter site....
