Zenith Recalls 80,000 Large-Screen TVs Due To Fire Risk

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Zenith Electronics Corp. is voluntarily recalling about 80,000 large-screen television sets due to a risk of fire, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.

The analog televisions, made between 1995 and 1998, have screens between 46 and 60 inches. They sold for between $1,200 and $2,800 at major appliance and department stores.

The recalled televisions will be repaired, CPSC said.
Damn, they should replace them with widescreen digital sets.

You just have to pay shipping to and from the repair place in AK, otherwise its free!

I used to own one, but my house burned down last year due to an electrical fire. :D
