View Full Version : Whats the status of DVR Scheduler for HR21-200?

Conflicting information regarding the availability of this. Folks here on dbstalk.com seem to have it working - however it does not work for me at all. I called DirecTV and the front-line CSR says it is not going to be available until "sometime in the summer." They sent me to another technical support person who said it SHOULD work, but he could not figure it out. Then they sent me to a directv.com person, who also said it should work - but they are escalating it and will "receive an e-mail sometime within next 48 hours."

I think technical support is a bit lacking these days. The second technical support guy did check and he said a software upgrade for the HR21-200 is scheduled for tomorrow.

The support obtained here is far better.

So, whats the scoop?

As far as I know it is being rolled out for the HR21's. If you are already activated from having an HR20 you should be activated on the HR21. But if you only have an HR21 it may take some time for you account to be activated.

If I am wrong about this someone please correct me.

In my case this is my first DVR. I upgraded from an H20-100.

You probably need to just wait for your account to be activated. The remote booking is not national for the HR21 yet.

There is no available timeline....
As the HR21-700's are starting to get activated now...

It probably won't be much longer till the -200's get activated.

Mine is, but I have been activated since the beginning because of my HR20's.

It is possible that they are...

The feature is in a roll-out mode... so it could be there's are active, and they haven't completed everyone yet.

Earl,

My HR20-100 has never been activated for Remote booking...but my R15 and R16 are working fine. Any ideas?

My HR21-200 is working partially.

DVR Scheduler works in TV Listings.

But when you click My TV Planner and try to schedule you always get an error message.

Any ETA on fixing that?

I am in the same boat as you. Guess we just have to wait.

They should call these things rumble, bumble, stumble outs instead of rollouts. :)

All of mine are activated but the HR21s do not record, they get the confirmation e-mail but nothing is recorded. The HR20s do record.

What software version are you running on your unit?

Seems to be working for me in almost every respect - can click the record button, get an email... all that doesn't work at this point is the receiver actually recording the shows :(

That is because the software on your HR21's is not ready to receive the command from DirecTV.com to actually schedule the recording.
