Since, I all the sudden lost a channel that I have been getting for years, (old fox sports NE) it would basically cost me 5 bucks (pre price in crease) to upgrade my package to premier.

Does the Premier package include the HD/HD expanded package? I don’t see a way to select this package is it even still offered?

Premier does not include either HD or the HD Extra pack. Both are additional charges.

Premier used to include the DVR fee, and many have that grandfathered. It no longer does, so a new Premier customer with DVR will also have the added DVR charge.

While not the all-encompassing package it once was, it is still there and includes more channels than any other package. It is the most economical package if one wants all the movie channels, and gives you the bonus of the regional sports networks.

So it is still available?

The Premier package is still offered. The only difference is the DVR service is not included any more for anyone getting the package after July 12th 2007.

Correct, you need to add HD ($9.99) and DVR ($5.99) service if you want them.

I can't image why one would want all the movie channels.

I've got the STARZ channels and it's OK, but having STARZ, HBO, CINEMAX, and SHOWTIME would be way to much old movie repeats to make it worth paying extra money for..

I have all four in the premiere package, and each of them have their good points could not imagine cancelling one of them

Because we want ALL the toys.

Yep. Plus, if you have the DVR fee grandfathered in and you're already getting HBO and/or another premium, the cost difference is so minimal that I figure I might as well stick with Premier.

You must like watching 20 year old movies being shown over and over again during the month.

CINEMAX has adult programming. Well not really, more like jump to another scene or change the camera angle during the good parts.
