won't upgrade from 6.3c

I have a "instantcake" hacked HR10-250(6.3c) and the hr10-250 continually tries to upgrade with out success. Do I need a current instant cake version to have directv upgrade my Tivo to 6.3f ?

By the way my system reboots a lot, today it has rebooted at least 4 times.

How do I unflip the toggle or how do I solve my problem?

You will need to hack the box, to get to the flag.

You'll have to "unhack it" or upgrade using slices. Google those two ways.

Had Instantcaked 6.3c with same problems, reboots every night, and flag would not allow upgrade. Re-imaged with 6.3d, flags were reset, and future upgrades took.
