I've tried Streamclip and downloaded all the appropriate versions of Quicktime Alternative and Streamclip and codec files. I'm using Streamclip 1.1 for Windows XP.

I can now load up a divx file in Streamclip, but I don't get the option to convert it to a TS file with MP2 sound (which I would then rename to .mpg). The option to do this is greyed out and doesn't let me choose it.

This method seems to work for other types of files that the HR20 can then play.

Anyone had any luck with converting divx files and playing them on HR20?

thanks

I'm not on Windows, but does Streamclip give you the option to just "Convert to TS"?

Have you tried TVersity?

I would second using TVersity - but to answer your question the most user friendly conversion tool seems to be "super"

The website is horrid but the tool does work pretty well for common formats:

http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html

There isn't a way to link to the install - so just survey the pages - look for blue 'download' links.

using TVersity I have no issues with Divx6 avi files if that helps.

Man, I had everything working so easy with WMP11 hooked up to the HR20. It's just that Streamclip won't convert the divx files.
Oh well, I'll try TVersity now.

Can't wait for HR20 to support Divx formats. Would make life a lot easier.

thanks all for the input.

What format are you converting the divx files to in Super so that the HR20 will play them?

And, do you need to convert the divx files if you're using Tversity to play on the HR20? I would think you would anyway, as it's the file types that the HR20 is worried about and not the media player.
