721 oddity...only seen this one time

I have a weekly timer for The Dead Zone. This show is preceded by JAG and this one time was followed by the movie Pitch Black.
As normal I use the default timer settings of 1 min early and 3 min long.
Normally this results in a 64 minute Dead Zone, since I have no other recordings crowding this time slot.

Well what happened this time is as follows:
The PVR event list shows JAG (normally shows Dead Zone), so I select JAG and a sub-list comes up with 3 items...JAG, Dead Zone and Pitch Black. Each item is selectable with all of the normal PVR funtions, ie, start over, erase, cancel, etc.
JAG shows 58 sec duration
Dead Zone shows 60 minute duration
Pitch Black shows 4 minute duration

Each "show" plays normally and can be deleted individualy via he sub-list even thought it shows as JAG in the main PVR events screen

I've seen this when I just specify a time and channel for a timer rather than selecting a show from the guide. My guess is that somehow your timer got changed.

This is a neat feature, I record WWE Raw on Monday Nights, my wife records CSI which follows RAW, Because Raw always runs late I just made 1 timer and extended the rcording time by 90 minutes.

Now when I select Raw I get a sub menu which shows Star Trek the Next Generation then WWE Raw then CSI. Its easy to select the show we want to watch.

I think its a cool feature.

I would like it a lot more if it showed all the show titles in the main listing instead of just the first show. This goes along with the early padding bug where it shows the wrong show if you pad the timer more than one minute early.

same here Dennis - I NEVER watch or record JAG so I ALMOST deleted it. Again, I have the same timers set up, via the guide, ever since I got my 721 several months ago.
Never seen this before and never seen it since...weird
