... apparently he called the supervisor of umpires, Cathy Davis, and left her a message calling her a "stupid Jew bitch".

Personally, as someone who is Jewish, I think this is a bit lenient...he should be suspended for at least a month If not FIRED!!!!

Suspended for a month?

Uh... why wasn't he FIRED? If I called my supervisor and left an obscene insult - racist or not - I'd be fired the next day. I'd show up at 8:30 and they'd have my personal belongings in a box and two security guards would escort me out and that would be it. No warnings, no letters. Actually, not just my supervisor... if I called ANY of my co-workers and left such an abusive message I'd be fired. And if one of my subordinates did this, I'd fire him, and I know my company would back me up a hundred percent.
