Only one line works

I have the Directtv tivo and a tech guy looked at it but didnt know whats wrong. Both cable are pluged in, but sat 2 will not work. The tech guy put it where only Sat 1 shows up on Test Satellite Signal. Whats wrong with my tivo? :(:confused:

Is it possible that he set it up as only having one input from the dish?

IIRC the test screen should show both tuners unless only 1 was selected during the guided setup.

Another problem is that the cables on the inside of the case may have come loose.

At least on my HR10-250, they just use push on connectors and they occasionally come loose from vibration.

Swap sat inputs and see if the problem switches to the other tuner. Of course, you have to make sure that both tuners are enabled in the setup.
