I don't use the service all that much but 2x in past 6 weeks, I had two similar experiences.
Feb. 14, ~1030pm selected "To Die For" for download. I have 1.5mbps DSL so I d/l over night and watch later.
Checked on Feb. 16, not there in the List.
Checked History, it shows as Cancelled by User (not true)
Noted a Software Download in History at 335am on Feb. 15, not sure if that had anything to do with the unsuccessful download. Not even sure what that is.
Went to download it again, and its gone from the Movie Listings, Can't even d/l it again.
About 6 weeks ago, had similar experience with Evan Almighty during the 24 hour Free HD Offering. Never completed and was also Cancelled by User.
I am assuming what's happening is that when I d/l late in the evening and before it finishes Directv removes it from the list, I lose the movie. The d/l never completes.
If this is the case, I suggest that Directv find a way to remove the listing from the servers but allow users currently downloading to finish it.
