Whoohoo! Now that's what I call an AllStar game!
West wins it in the shootout!
What a game by Atlanta's Heatly........
So, what do I do until 8:00pm when the AHL All-Stars Skills competition starts?

I cant remember an all star game that was so much fun.

I thought it was a great game. The final ten of the third, the OT and the shootout made the whole thing worthwhile. The game was the highlight of the weekend for once, plus the Vancouver Connection is big in the West's win, with Naslund and Kariya winning it in the shootout.

Gaborik and Kariya 2nd and 3rd stars over Lalime and Turco? Come on CBC!

What a game by Heatley. Does that shootout goal count toward the record?

I mean the world doesn't revolve around hockey because it's a game and life is daily with all of it's variety of tragedy and triumph. Life goes on despite anything. I reflect on our loss of Columbia and it's crew and pray to my God, my Lord that they may not have made touchdown in Florida but they all have touced down safely home. Then I reflect on the thrill of us fans having the opportunity to witness the thrill and excitement and fun of the coolest game on earth framed within the global presentation of the All Star weekend. Life is rough, tough, fun, exciting, dangerous and daily.

I believe we hockey fans have some of the finest young men in the arena of sport in our sport. And the majority of the fans I've met at games and on the net are some of the nicest people, fans, it's been my privilege to make the acquaintance of.

That was a great game. Too bad I had to watch it on tv. My son and I were going up for the entire weekend, but unfortunately a family emergency came up, and we couldn't go.

Don't believe Heatley's goal in OT counted for the record. There was a thread posted over on Hockey's Future "Game night and NHL talk" forum about it earlier.
