NBA AllStar Game HD Rumor

There is a thread over at the AVS forum claiming that TNT will broadcast the NBA allstar game in HD, and it will be carried by Dish and DTV. Anyone know if this is true? There seems to be confusion there.

No info on what channel on DISH Network, yet.

I just got a note from someone at Echostar (Not Michael Schwimmer) saying that They are planning on carrying it but at the moment are having Technical problems, they hope to have an announcement by Friday.

Isn't a technical problem the reason they didnt air the Superbowl in HD?

Let's hope they get the problem fixed.

Scott, I think the Super Bowl telecast required blackouts and that may have been the reason it was not carried.

Bob you dolt... The press release came out before you made your post, and if you read above I got email from Echostar on Wednesday saying they would be announcing it in a press release before Friday.
