I have the HD+DVR package and since the upgrade last week, I have lost CNNHD and TWCHD. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? I have only been on Direct for about 3 weeks. I have the HR21-700 receiver. I called Directv and they had me reset it and check all of my settings, but they could not resolve it. She said I could expect a technician in 10 days. Is this the way it is going to be?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try?
Thanks

If you know how, go into the system info screen and post all of your signal levels for all transponders. Sounds to me like your dish might be a little out of alignment.

Welcome to DBSTalk!

Like jody suggested signal strength should be checked, but I find it odd that those should be the only two channels you are having trouble with as they are sent via D10 along with all the other national HD channels.

No she should have set you up with a propper appointment. Normally it shouldn't take 10 days.

Is that the signal range from the first signal page? Or did you toggle over to 103b (or 103s)? Just checking.

Best if you post the exact readings from every transponder for each satellite from the Receiver's Satellite Setup Menu.

CNNHD = 103(c), tp 10
TWCHD = 103(c), tp 11

That sounds normal. You should necessarily be getting anything on 103(s). The Birmingham HD locals are on a tp on the 99(s) satellite.

You need to check those 103(c) signals on both tuners, since you have an HR21-700.....
