the new little popup when you are watching a national channel in HD? Something to the fact that if you hit the button on the front to change res to 1080i it'll look better. I have my HR20 set to native off and 720p as thats the native for my tv.

Yes, it has been around for a few releases now.
Do you have 1080i disabled on your unit?
As NATIVE setting, corresponds to your broadcast... not the compatibility of your TV... you have to disable any resolutions your TV won't receive.

My tv will accept up to 1080i but 720p is native res so thats what I have the HR20output. If I turn native back to on this message will go away then.

If your TV is native 720...
Go into your HR20... and de-select 1080i

I've never seen this. My TV's native is 720p. On the HR20-100, I have native off and only 720p checked. Should I be seeing this popup on certain channels?

Apprently not as you have 1080i unchecked. Thats the same thing I was asking Earl and thats what he is suggesting I do so Im going to go home and do that and see if that fixes the message.
