Shortly I will be moving into my parents old home. My dad has Directv at our summer cottage and uses their old address for DTV to send the bill because our cottage doesn't have a specific mailing address. Will DTV have a problem hooking up the dish to their old home because they will have the address on file as an existing account?

Thanks.

The only way to be sure is to ask them. When setting up the system at the cottage, your Dad had to give a service address. Did he provide the cottage address or the home address? As long as he provided the cottage address, I don't think there would be an issue. There is nothing that says that multiple accounts can't have the same billing address, I believe it's just that the accounts have to have different service addresses. Although I would think there would be exceptions for that as well, multiple people living in one house and each has their own dish installed.

I would think if the service is in different names it wouldn't matter. You would have your account and your dad would have his.

I've read some posts that DirecTV can be finnicky when it comes to two accounts at the same location. Could just be an issue of CSR roulette, but you never know until you try.

you would have to make it perfectly clear that there are two different people at the same address wanting different accounts. D* would then be fine with that
