I'd like to add an Home Theater system to our TV room. This is not a knock-your-socks-off setup. The room really isn't big enough for that. (The KYSO system will come in the future addition.)
I'm currently considering a system sold by Sharper Image since it includes some features I consider important for this particular installation:
DVD -- DD5.1 & DTS
digital audio input -- for satellite systems/PVRs
radio -- we don't currently have radio in that room
tower system -- easier installation of tall thin tower rather than standard-width components
tower speakers -- rather than wall mounting rears.
silver/chrome color
However, a couple features it does NOT have that I would like but that aren't absolutely necessary are:
CD -- plays audio CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, plus MP3 format recordings
digital audio output -- for future connection to other rooms/equipment
The Sharper Image unit is $900, but I would consider other options in the same price range. Any suggestions?
