View Full Version : Anyone getting this error message on DirectTv's website?

When I log onto my account on DirectTv's website and try to go "My Programming & Equipment", I get the following error message in red:

Sorry, you cannot make changes to your programming and equipment online because your receivers are not mirrored. Please call customer service at 1-800-DIRECTV.


Is anyone else getting this error, or is it limited to my account? I never had a problem before and could access this with no problem. As far as I know, all receivers are mirrored on my account. I noticed it yesterday and tried again today with the same result.

I just logged in with no issues. It must be something on your end.

call customer service, have them check your mirroring flag on the primary recvr, only way to fix this

Well, for one, I think the new website took a step backwards. It's now structured to "sell", not to provide service. Have tried for two days to change programming to no avail. "Change programming" selection freezes-up at 16 % complete. It's easy to add programming, almost impossib;e to change or cancel programming.

Do you have all your receivers plugged into a land-based telephone line?

Funny you should ask this, I just had to fix this for my parents account last week. Directv had listed as a non mirrored, non active receiver, an old Mitsubishi receiver that hasn't been active in over 5 years on the account. This kept them from being able to do anything with their programing on the updated site. ( It had been on there all along, but I never bothered to call it in because you could still change stuff before the recent web site update) One call, and they took it off the account entirely and all was well in accessing the account within the hour....

I've been getting the same message since they redesigned the website. I did call and was told it was because I subscribed to an old programming package (TC +) Apparently, I cannot make any changes to programming or equipment because of this.

For those you are not getting this message... Are you also on an old plan? If so, then I will call again to see if it can be fixed.

I am on an older plan (one that was grandfathered from a year ago???) and I can access the web site just fine - did a couple of times today, in fact.

Thanks! I'll give them another call and see if it can be fixed. I don't really want to change any programming right now. However, I am thinking about ordering a couple of powerline adapters to network my HR20. While I am sure I could do it over the phone, I think it would be much easier to place the order online.

I also can't view certain areas online and was told it was because I wasn't using the correct browser. I logged in with the most up to date browser on my windows machine and still am getting the same error message. I'm on an older programming package. Must be Directv's way of making us upgrade to a newer package. Not sure if there is an advantage to do so.

I am getting this error message.

I only have one receiver and Directv says it shows as mirrored.

I called three times.............no help. One tech said it was the website and he was sure they would fix it. Another tech had no idea..........and sent an email to someone.

Anyone hear a definitive fix for this?

I still haven't been able to get DirectTV to fix this problem. Via the phone, department after department could not figure it. Finally, they escalated it to some other department, who sent me an email saying they were unable to resolve it and they are sending the problem to another department. That was a week ago and no further response from DirectTv. Oh well.
