When setting a show to record remotely, always set the priority to High, or it will fail

I never set it to high and it has worked for me every time.

Actually, two things need to be scheduled for that time slot.
I guess thats pretty logical isnt it?

I think the point was if you do not and there are already two items scheduled at the same time slot your remote booking will be dropped.
But then my question is if I don't want my remote schedule to kill any pre-set schedules that I may not be aware of, is there a way to find out online?

As noted by the others... it will only fail if you have conflicts.
If you are not sure about your recording schedule, then yes... set it to hi.
But if you know what your systems are doing at that time... you can set it appropriately.

I love the remote scheduling, use it almost daily. What would be cool with this if if there was a conflict, it would shoot you an E-mail telling you something must be canceled in order for this to go through.
Or (and I know this is far fetched) if we had the ability to see our "To Do" list online so we know not to record.

Is there a way to schedule multiple recordings of the same show using this?

no, there is no way to set up a series link using the online scheduler.

If you were going to be away from your equipment for an extended period of time, you could do multiples by actually finding the showings in the schedule and setting them to record one at a time. I think the general idea would be that you would be near your equipment from time to time and be able to schedule SLs that way.

Yesterday at work, (at lunchtime) I saw a show on a news article that I suddenly wanted to record that night. I did have time to set it when I got home, so I wrote myself a note. Then I remembered that I might be able to set it on the DTV web site. I logged on and found the show in the listing, and pressed "record to receiver". When I got home and checked the "To Do" list, there was the show set to record. What a great option this is!

This is why TiVoWebPlus was so great! You could see the guide, edit recordings, setup Season Passes, etc. Only problem is that it required a direct network connection (i.e. viewable from the outside), if that was officially supported and someone developed a type of virus or what-not (even a benign one that set all HD DVRs to record all episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report), that'd be pretty bad. Plus you'd have a lot of support calls about trying to figure out why you can't reach your DVR from outside your home network. So, I completely understand why the official solution is done the way it is, but it'd still be nice if they could implement some of the same functionality.
Since I'm supposed to be able to record programs using DirecTV's website, there needs to be a way to search for specific programs. I should be able to search for "Firefly", see what channels it's on, be able to tell if I subscribe to that channel or not, and if I tell it to record on a channel I'm not subscribed to, it should alert me (and possibly even give a direct link to add that package to my subscription). Second, it'd be nice for it to know if there's any conflicts. Perhaps I could set it to try to record on DVR #1, if there's conflicts then force it to record on DVR #2 regardless of conflicts. Probably would be hard to implement, I won't hold my breath. Lastly, there needs to be a way to setup a Series Link. If I hear about a great program and decide to record it through the site, I still have to remember to setup a Series Link later.

Do you know if remote booking works with the new HR21P-200? Everytime I try to schedule it goes to my HR20-700 and does not give me the choice to select the new HR21P. I also noticed that, if I look at my account on line, It list the 20-700 as an HD-DVR but the 21P as "unknown" It does show it as a 21P-200 but it does not seem to know it is an HD-DVR. Maybe it is to new for Directv web site and they need to enter it in.

I've been testing this feature for a week now, works every time! I am really pleased with this.
