Missing Many Scheduled Recordings on DP 7200

I was going out of town for 9 days, so I set up my stock DP 7200 to record shows on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday. When I returned home on Tuesday, I discovered that the only programs that had recorded were on that day, Tuesday. The programs from Thursday, Friday, and Sunday had not recorded.

On the following day, Wednesday, I set the DP to record two programs back-to-back on the same channel, but only the second of the two shows recorded.

Note that in both cases, there were no older recordings on the DP.

In the past, I have experienced the other joys of owning a DishPlayer, but this recording problem is new to me. Has anyone else experienced this recently, or am I simply the beneficiary of a new DP feature, random recordings?

Please don't tell me to get a Tivo. I would if I could, but for reasons I have stated in other posts, I am stuck with Dish Network.

Can't help beyond saying I haven't seen it. I have a 7100 and haven't had any troubles recently with recording. I did a couple of back-to-backs over the weekend and they were fine.

How many days in advance did you setup the Dishplayer? It's very possible that you may have setup your timers using the 48 hour guide. Then, once the 7 day guide downloaded, some of the timers wouldn't fire because the names of the programs were different.
