Installer is here installing my dish. Took a while, should have had it Sunday but we had no line of sight so we needed a tripod and pole. Should have been here Wensday but the tripod didnt come yet. Now he is here today, pray that nothing goes wrong!!!! So far dish is up on the roof, and wires are run into the house.

Now problems occur. We had signal on all transponders averaging about 90, then he did something on the roof and we lost it! Now he wants me to bring all the receivers down stairs. WTF is going on??? I have waited too long to have this get messed up AGAIN.

Installer came at 8 AM, this was his 2nd time coming out here, 3rd appointment we made. First time we had no line of site and we needed a tripod and an extension, then the second time he had to cancel cause the tripod didnt come. So he coems today and he gets the dish set up and runs all the wires. Thanks to the rat nest of wires we have , courtesy of the local cable company, it took 5 hours!! But all is done and we now have DirecTV service to all rooms. Can't wait to cancel the cable!!!!

Well I got 5 GAEBOA receivers, and a eliptical dish with a 5x8 multiswitch. We went with Total Choice Premeire with locals, I also get E&W Fox and NBC and have waivers in for the other two. I got 22 dollars off for 3 months because of HBO and Cinemax. So I am getting everything for like 65 dollars a month. Now I have to cancel my cable!!

Don't forget about the mirroring fees. That will add nearly $20 to your monthly bill.

My cable company charges $9.23 per TV for the mirroring fee. Of course it is not for the small lineup of analog TV but for where they put all the real channels on the digital lineup (from http://www.twcablewf.com ):

Digital Consumer Terminal (requires Interactive On-Screen Guide) $5.95
Interactive On-Screen Guide 2.95
Remote Control .33
Additional Outlet (includes DCT w/ remote and mirrored services) 9.23

That is right they charge $2.95 per digital box for the "Interactive On-Screen Guide" which is a small guide surrounded by ads.
