Hi:

I currently have DirecTV with three SD TIVO's and one SD R15 DVR. I now have one high definition TV and want to order an HR21 DVR to replace one of the TIVO units which has two cables connected. I have two basic questions - other than replace my dish, should I expect the installer to run two new cables or just use what I have now? Also, I plan to purchase a second HDTV in the near future. When I have the second HDTV at some future date, will I be able to simply swap out another TIVO for a second HR21?
Thank you for your help!

Yes, the installer will upgrade your dish to the 5-LNB Slimline. If you're replacing your old SD Tivo, then he probably won't run new cables to that room. If you're adding the new HD DVR to your existing equipment, then he should run two new cables. Later, when you get your second HDTV, you can simply replace one of your old SD Tivos with a new HR21 HD DVR (you can even buy them at Best Buy, Costco, etc). Just be sure that the installer replaces your current multiswitch with the HD-compatible Zinwell WB68.
