Do any of you bundle directv, and internet with qwest, and if so are the internet speeds as fast as cable internet? My cable internet is $39 a month and I would like to cut that cost down without a loss in speed.
Thank you for your replies.

I'm assuming Quest will supply you with DSL. Typically DSL is not as fast as cable can be, the difference being DSL will almost always maintain the proper speed while cable can be drastically affected by other users in your neighborhood. My brother dumped cable for that very reason, his was only up to advertised speed in the middle of the night. I have 6.0 DSL and it is predictably good.

I don't think Qwest has any DSL which is that fast. I had Qwest until six months ago and it was 1.5 Mbps down, 896 kbps up. It varies by area. I was paying $28/mo to Qwest and $20 to my ISP. I dumped them altogether and went with Clearwire Wi-Max ($35/mo) which is a bit faster down but much slower up (256k). I added Vonage's $14.95 VOIP (for 500 min/mo) and dumped Qwest altogether, saving $40+ per month.
The QWEST DSL in my area is $26 for 1.5Meg speed, and I think it's $46 of so for the 7.0Meg speed.
I dumped my unpredicatable comcast speed of 4 Meg at best for $42.95 and went with the QWEST 1.5Meg speed for $26/month. So far I'm really happy with QWEST. I can tell it's not as fast as my COMCAST was but it's plenty fast for all the things I do on the internet.
I also dumped comcast phone service. I bundled my QWEST internet, QWEST phone, and DIRECTV on one bill from QWEST and I'm saving approx. $30/month compared to what I was paying COMCAST and DIRECTV seperately.
I have the Qwest - DirecTV bundle with 1.5m internet and I am happy with the reliability and speed. I use it for my Slingbox to a Sprint Palm Treo 750 and my Apple MacBook Pro and very seldom have any issues.
Typically DSL is not as fast as cable can be, the difference being DSL will almost always maintain the proper speed while cable can be drastically affected by other users in your neighborhood.Except for the fact that DSL has pretty lousy penetration as compared with broadband cable, it too can be impacted by traffic in your neighborhood. Most of the newer build-outs are using pair gain equipment (multiplexers) that put DSL is the same boat.
Many telco DSL providers use frame relay to the Internet which can also be dragged down by heavy traffic.
