Sorry I havent been repllying by mail or here. It appears my computers hard drive crashed,. I have been able to see mail for days but not able to open it, then I couldnt get to any web sites at all. AOL tech support was more interested in X number of calls per hour than fixing the thing. I really am not sure what happened but after numerous virus scans, repars to windows ME, new AOL software and downloaded 8.0 upgrades, and spending 2 days I appear for the moment to be operational. My network crashed too perhaps there was a power surge? My answering machine flaked out .I hope to get back to everyone this weekend.

Sounds like a possible surge through the phone line possibly? If that would have happened then wouldn't the things attached to a phone not work?
