I have been trying to figure out why I keep getting Paid Programming recordings off of 249 CC. I just looked and my last SL was set to Paid Programming on 249 with 81 upcoming events. Am I the only one? Then that means I fell asleep at some point this week with the remote in my hand and my thumb on record, and hit it twice. :hurah:

I always thought they recessed the record on VCR remotes to keep kids and pets from hitting them.
Guess I need to add 'idiot proof record button' to the remote wish list.

I get strange things in my Series links all the time. Someone presses record accidentally, then presses it a second time to clear the record and gets a series link. Our R15 was really bad with this as the remote buttons were very sensitive and it was easier to press a button twice than just once.
I love the one touch record, but I think it should take a yellow button menu item to create a series link.
Don't feel bad:
While the My Playlist menu page was on-screen and the program I was currently watching from the Playlist was still recording and was highlighted, I accidentally hit the Record button instead of the Exit button. This caused the (R) to disappear and indeed the recording had stopped. (BTW, should it even do that, or is that an "issue"? Shouldn't there be a Keep/Stop Recording Option first?)
And how many of us have accidentally hit the "Off" button when our intention was to hit the Slip/Skip button?

I agree. The buttons do get crowded up there at the top and it's easy to hit the wrong one.

Ah yes, I can certainly remember the other mishap of button pushing on remotes and not getting the HR2x to reboot when pushing the red button. :) Classic!

Wow - 81 episodes of set it and forget it, sleep numbers, visco-elastic foam, girls getting wild, and super sharp knives for carving up steel beams and tomatoes just to get to the main event: Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley selling exercise equipment

Oh yes, that was me. Seems like a lifetime ago. Walking up as close as I could get and aiming it in all different directions, but I could not get that Red button reset working.
