Dual Jack phone module

I have to use a Dual Jack wireless phone jack so my dtv receiver can phone out. I bought and paid for a couple of PPV shows a couple of months ago. I never got billed for them. I did a system test and it said the phone connection is working. I noticed on the slave module there is a little switch that says "Speech/Computer Data" . I was wondering if it should be in the computer position??? Is there a way to force the receiver to phone out the billing info? I dont want to max out my spending limit.

I don't believe the receiver would allow you to order/watch the purchase if it didn't think it had a phone line attached. Maybe just a billing glitch. Years ago, I had a modem fail in an old RCA and I had several PPV's that I was never billed for. The tuners back then would allow you to watch up to 25(IIRC) movies and when you attached the phone it would send a batch to D* for billing. I used mine in a motorhome and never got billed until I returned home and hooked it to the phone.

Yes, set it to "computer/modem".

You will be able to order a few PPV movies until DirecTV's system determines that your Receiver isn't phoning home properly. Then you'll have to order PPV movies via their Web site. If you call DirecTV they can determine and tell you if your Receiver is phoning home properly.
