We live in an area with frequent power filckers or interruptions-sometimes only for a split second. when this happens all my receivers (62 receivers) for the housing complex reset themselves back to a default directv advertising channel and so all the receivers need to be reprogrammed to their specific channel. Is there any way to resolve this issue. in the past I had Dish tv and after a power failure the receiver would reset itself to the proper channel????

How about just throwing some UPS's (Universal Power Supply) on the system. They are generally only good for about 30 minutes but all you need is to stop the glitch that is causing the system to reboot.

What specific model are you using?

Usually when it goes to the default channel... it didn't get all the guide data, or channel mapping when the unit first re-turned on...

Thus goes to the default channel.

but a UPS as suggested, would be the easiest fix to the solution

Hmm... must be a specific MDU version... not sure about that one.

Easiest solution would be to spend ~ $25 on a ups...
