View Full Version : Just installed OTA...now a question

This past weekend I put my outdoor antenna back up (after removing it over 5 years ago) and hooked it up to my 722. I am 20 miles from the transmitters (line-of-sight) and get signal levels of 75 for MyTV, 82 for CW, 88 for ION and 100 for TBN, PBS, CBS, Fox & ABC.

Is this what I should expect for signal levels from DTV considering the distance from the transmitters & varied power output between stations or is my setup working beyond my wildest expectations?

Why would you expect less? I live 41 miles from my local tower, and I get 99% on all the major networks......with a cheap $26 antenna:D

No, I wasn't expecting less.

Perhaps I worded my original message incorrectly. Is the signal strength I am currently receiving good considering most Phoenix digital stations are transmitting on a temporary channel and at reduced power until the transition next February?
