Thanks. Thought I missed something when I signed up for it.

No it hasn't. got an email 10 days ago. Offering it for free for 3 months again. try and call and see before you give up on it.

February 27th was the last day for that promotion. It's possible a CSR might give you the promotion, but unlikely.

Had to remove it last night because they were beginning to charge me for it, seems my 3 month free promo had ended, so I cancelled ....no big deal , was painless and took no more than a mouse click...never watched enough content to warrant the extra $5 a month.....

It's your choice, just like all the other programming. However, to answer the OP, I think you have to keep all programming choices for a month.

I might as well ask here instead of starting a new thread...

If I add HBO (via my account web page) and keep it for just a month or two, can I then just turn it off without a $$$ penalty?

Thanks!

Yes you can remove the premium service after 30 days. However if you add HBO then before the 30 days expire you add another premium your 30 day clock restarts. You'll need to keep both for 30 days after the change.

I just got HD Service this month and this is what my first bill says...

03/04 09/03 DIRECTV HD EXTRA PACK 6 Months Free 0.00

When I signed up for for HD earlier this month I asked if the HD extra pack was still free for 3 months the CSR said yes.... I see my bill says it is free for 6 months.

New customer and signed up for HD extra pack last week via website. After seeing this post I called to ask about it and was given 3 months free. He said it was no longer available, but gave it to me anyway.
